Frank came to Davis looking for work. He stopped in a Barber shop owned by Ray, who asked him to sign a list. Frank noticed there were 15 names on the list and proceeded to walk out. Ray chased after him saying, "I want you to sign the list." Frank relented, signing his name at the bottom of the list really large-the way you write in gradeschool. (cont)

Ray called him that night and asked him to work for him. Ray loved fishing and at the end of the first week, Ray handed Frank a bundle of cash and said, "here's some money for change, I'm going fishing tomorrow." Frank was running the shop during his second week. Frank and Ray worked together for 6 1/2 years before Ray died. Frank has cut hair on Olive Drive since 1963.
